Lets compile a list of laptops that you currently use that work with video and Im talking pretty much out of the box.
I had a Dell xpsm1330 that worked fine running Vista. Those are over a year old so I am looking for something new.
I bought an Asus http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16834220667 and it has been having a ton of problems...
Frustrated to be using this program and I also use serato with no problems at all running/scratching mixing video...
I need to buy a few... My custom built desktop from 4 years ago works 100x better than any laptop and that is a little frightening considering the technological advances made from then.

not to derail your thread, but i think for video mixing the "issue" usually turns out to be the video card.. (I think just about ANY laptop, even the cheap ones, easily makes VDJ requirements for video mixing IE: ram, CPU speed, etc etc)
so I also started a "collection" thread :-)

looking for users to post what they having working, or not working..
thanx!
