Topic: Trying to add video to my virtual dj

This topic is old and might contain outdated or incorrect information.

Kind of computer smart. What do I need as far as video card to run video to a tv. I am using version 6 so I know I have the right version. Also were can I go to get music video's.

As far as video cards....i'm going through this now....the better the video card the better output you will get....by output i mean all of the effects that VDJ can do, I have an older low end card and all it will do is play the vids, but no efx........i'm just learning all of this....do a search on here for video cards....How are you getting the video out to the tv? If you are not going from component to component...VGA - VGA etc... you will need a converter....See my posts recently (within the last week) regarding this....Good luck.

The recommended configuration to mix video is:

* Dual Core 2 GhZ CPU
* ATI or nVidia video card w/256Mb of Dedicated DDR3 memory (dual output capable)
* 2048 MB RAM

my laptop comes with an nVidia video card with 1GB DDR3 of dedicated memory and it works great with video.
