Is the amp designed for multiple inputs? If not, maybe a basic mixer will help.

If you need to connect two pieces of equipment, then yes.. a mixer of some sort is the only way to go...
Your power amp DOESNT have multiple inputs, it has two TYPES of inputs, wired in parallel.. one 1/4" connection and one XLR connector..
Its simply not setup to be used for multiple inputs.. (the lowered volume can happen any time two 'line level outputs' are directly connected to each other.)
You dont need a fancy mixer.. any 2 input (stereo) or 4 input (mono) mixer will be fine..
example might be BEHRINGER XENYX 1002 .. Its not a dedicated DJ mixer, but would work perfect for now, and would still be usefull for other things if you ever upgraded to something bigger and better..

When you add a mixer to your setup, you have more control over the volumes of your input sources, whatever they may be. So, a mixer is a good addition to the system for that reason.
