I am trying to write a VDJ Script for keyboard mapping and even after lots of reading and trial and error i am still unable to acheive the desired result so here I am asking for help and hoping someone here "in the know" can lend me a hand.
I am trying to map my left and right arrow keys to do the following:
Right Arrow
mix the crossfader with no sync
wait about 4 seconds until the mix is finished
Then unload deck 1
I can't get the part on how to make the macro wait 4 seconds before unloading deck 1.
Even using the & symbol is supposed to execute the next command after the first is finished but the crossfade takes about 4 seconds to finish and my macro does not wait that long to attempt to unload deck 1.
Any help here on how to force the macro to wait until the mix is done would be greatly appreciated.

In the moment afaik there is no Script command for the wait - so it will not work.

Is their a way to make a countdown, like count to 5000 then execute next command or if variable is not 5000 then do nothing and add 1 to the variable, then check again to see if the variable is 5000 etc.?
something like that ?

Can you not use "crossfader active" so it will only execute the unload when the crossfade stops?
I've tried playing around a bit on this without success but JPB can probably help. Basically I guess you wish to unload the actice deck when the crossfade is finished?

Exactly!
Right now it is a two step process to crossfade and then a second keystroke to unload the deck as quickly as possible so that the second vid does not overload my video card. I am trying to automate the function so that it will crossfade and then unload the deck.
Problem is that the script will execute the crossfade and then try to unload the deck before the crossfade is finished (about 3-4 seconds).
Been trying lots of trial and error routines but have been unsuccessful at finding a way to make the macro wait until the crossfade ends before trying to unload the deck.
Any help here would be greatly appreciated.
