Topic: Mapping Issues with MacBook Pro and Numark Omni

This topic is old and might contain outdated or incorrect information.

I'm new here, so please bare with me.

For the past month or so, I've been using the PC version of VDJ with the Numark Omni control and everything is mapped (fairly) correctly & works great.

However, upon connecting the Omni to my MacBook Pro and running the mac version of VDJ, I find the controls for the Omni are mapped in very odd spots. For example, my effect select buttons are mapped to my jog wheels, effect level is mapped to my key knob and so on and so forth.

I figured the mappers I downloaded from here and Numark's site would keep everything the same between the PC and Mac versions.

Maybe I did something wrong: I downloaded the Numark Omni Controller mapper mod v2.0 by DJ Gonzales from the plugin section and dropped the XML file into my Mappers folder for VDJ. Is that all I do? Am I missing something

I don't know what's up and I'm no mapping master, so any tips on getting my Omni to play nice with VDJ on my MacBook Pro would be greatly, greatly appreciated.

same here ... !! ??????

Change the XML mapper from the Config/Mappers pull down menu, as you know the XML file has to be in your Documents/Virtual dj/Mappers folder.

DJ Gonzales map has several issues, I tried it and went back to the native map in v6.08, this also a few small problems like FILTER AMT and LOOP but nowhere near as many problems as Gonzales's map.

Use your mouse for loops and effects until fixes arrive, hope this helps.
