Did searches for the forum on xp tweaks. Had to reformat my HD and don't remember the tweaks and I know they were on here.

It depends on your spec. Whats in your PC ram wise?

believe it or not, before this laptop hd went bad and i had done tweaking I had no problems whatsover with vdj and videos with effects or anything. of course i didn't have the newest version of vdj either.

Anyway, i have a dell inspiron 8600. 2048 level 2 cache. Nvidia gforce fx5200 video card. video memory (according to bios) is 64mb. I'm running xp pro service pack 2 with the newest directx9. It has 1.50gb of ram, upgradeable to 2gb.

ok i got a copy of 6.03 and installed. worked fine except for a rmx issue. i installed 6.05 and have video problems. i reinstalled 6.03 and they went away. i am having some kind of sound issue with the rmx that i didn't have before.

UPDATE - STILL BAD WITH MPEG 4'S, after 4 videos. green lines and bottom of video jerking. Even with rmx unplugged.

Does it need wmplayer to work better? I have an older version with service pack 2. I only had service pack 1 installed before. Maybe I should go back?
