Hello gang,

I just purchased VDJ for MAC. I would think this feature would be a give me but I don't see it. How do I scroll text on or off as a video is playing or not playing kinda like a screen saver with my name?

I just downloaded VDJ like I stated and it seems Mac verison sucks compared to PC version (my other DJ Friends use PC). I hope more work will be done on the MAC Version in the future. Presently for audio I use another program but I down loaded this for videos. Any help with either on here or another place to get video plugins of VDJ.

And like I said I am new on here I think perhaps on the plugin section instead of clicking on each one to see if its avail for mac it should be on the front page.

Most video plugins are contributed by the community. If a plugin isn't available for Mac it's because the author didn't make a Mac version. Unfortunately porting of video plugins is not a trivial task. I intend to port some of mine, but before I start that I want to finish the others I have on the go!
 
Yeah I need the text also for mac
 
I would really like to have that. It's trivial for video mixing!!
 
OK then How would one learn the "code" and try and do it so I could get it done and post it? I was able to to a quick and easy one in iMOVIE but I have to loop it, and it takes up the whole screen which is fine but would like to place it on the bottom, or put words on top of a video.
 
You need to know C++ and OpenGL and you'll also want to use a font library. I do know DJ Cel has been working on a text plugin for Mac.

could use the text for mac too...really sux no thaving it..bar like to have you throw up the drink specials and birthday wishes every now and then
 
scrolling text is missing for mac. I suppose a macbook running virtualdj is a good thing but some plug ins would be even better. Thanks to the creator for working on any needed plug ins for Mac
 
There is scrolling text and anything you want just use the clipbank, been doing it for awhile works great. I can do 3d text scrolling etc I use the titler built into sony vegas to do this. Also this allows me to save my most popular ones like "happy hour" and I can do some custom ones like Last call.
 
That's sounds nice Cyder, but what if someone has a birthday and you have to shout it out in the middle of your set?
All I wanna say is text feature on the Mac side would mean a lot to me, and I believe many other users.
Back in the day that very feature was keeping me from VSL on some gigs, since VSL didn't have a text option too.

And by the way SBDJ great work on that scrolling text plugin (on the PC side). It's a bit hassle to install it, but once you're set it's soo nice.
Man I wish if we could have it on the Mac side as well.
 
I thought it was always someones birthday in the club especially if they are requesting a song. Anyways I'm not saying its perfect but it works for me currently.
