Topic: video question

This topic is old and might contain outdated or incorrect information.

I am very into video shows using another program, naturally... at least for now. I see the 2.1 does video. Can I run mpeg1, mpeg2 or vob files with it as of yet or are you still working for the future? Also, will my Time coded vinyl work with the video files?

DJ Doc Z -

I am going to try the Vinyl question tomorrow night - will post some feedback then.

Umm, wonder why it doesn't say TC Vinyl under my name? Yes, Let me know. I am just so impressed and amazed how far this program got. Fanstastic!

yes, TC will control video movement.

Good to see you Doc, this baby smokes Elite in mixing alone.
It's night and day...

You're getting me excited mp3jrick. What vid files are you using? I also suppose it is alot less cpu hog too?

I found them to run pretty close, hovers around 27-35%.
I find the quality a little better with Elite, that will improve i'm sure.
And, in the mean while I am exploring mixing effect/techniques/transitions I never knew existed.
I am running all mpeg 1 of which I have ripped nearly 4900 now.

It is a blast to mix what we could only playback before.

We are the few man, there's not very many of us doing video.

What program are you using to convert? I was using dvd shrink and playing the vob files. Took only about 15 minutes to rip a 53 video track dvd, files were huge tho. Will VDJ play vob's?

I am using #1 dvd ripper.
It takes 4 hours to rip a typical PO disc.
The files average between 80 and 100 mb in size.
Haven't tried anything but my mpeg 1's.

leave that part to me

So far

1 mpeg2 480x480 VDJ chokes
2 wmv 1280x740 hidef VDJ chokes
3 avi 720x480 vdj chokes
4 divix 480x480 vdj chokes

mpeg 1 - vdj plays fine

going to try wmv again at lower res these files look really good

How about vob files? I have to give this a try.
