Hello everybody..
Just wanted to say, i just did my first successfull gig with Virtual DJ 6.0.5 (latest PC version) that was about 7 hours straight without any hiccups. THanks alot atomix/Virtual DJ Team. I used VirtualDJ with hercules console rmx. I formally used Traktor Pro with X-session midi controller. I loved Traktor, and would've used Traktor pro with the rmx console but, it was so unstable with the rmx console, i would get freezes and app crashes within 15 min. usage. So i decided to Use the VirtualDJ LE version that's optimized for the hercules dj console rmx. I was pretty impressed, didn't like the limited layout. Than I decided to buy the Upgrade since traktor pro was acting up on me. I tweaked the Pro version a little bit, and changed around some midi mappings. Its working flawlessly, the new netsearch feature comes in handy also. Those of you that are using the cracked versions especially with the Hercules rmx console. It will crash, and u will find instabilities with it. If you really want to go all out, Buy it and support the atomix/virtual DJ team. I loved traktor, but the only thing i didn't like was that it couldn't do sound effect sampling, which wasn't a big deal really. I paid just half price for the upgrade of virtual dj Pro, which is well worth it, it now even motivated me more to go back into djayin more seriously like i use to with turntables lyears and years ago. I even have the option to get the Mac version also, just in case i ever opt for a mac. which i probablly won't, since my PC is pretty stable with the Hercules controller and VIrtual DJ. Well thank you everybody in this forum and the dj universe. thanks again VIrtualDJ/Atomix Team.. Have a Happy New Year!!!

Congratz on your first gig! I'm glad all went well for you. VDJ is a great software, I have the others such as Serato too but I rarely ever use anything except VDJ. It just runs flawlessly for me and does videos, karaoke and effects so well why use anything else!?

traktor vs virtual dj!
VIRTUAL DJ PRO - 8/10 TRAKTOR PRO 9/10
Just for any newbies that are making a decision which to get , its all a matter of opinion and depends on your mixing style and music I suppose, but I like to mix everything up, and on a whole Traktor has the edge over VDJ!
peace
(oh by the way I dont work for native instruments!)

I would hope those "newbies" would also think about the future and what they might want to do..
Videos? Different controller? customized interfaces?
i'm sure if that "newbie" REALLY thought about it, they would see the 'edge' goes to VDJ..
;-)

And this gem of advice is from a guy that hasn't even bought the software... if I want to know about a car I'm gonna buy, I ask somebody that already has one...

Traktor pro has it's fare share of problems. Problems that still have not been addressed for quite some time.
