its called ground loop... very common with computers

To get rid of it, try connecting the powercord to a powersupply without ground

Or get a ground loop eliminator from your local radio store

if your power cord looks like 3 circles in a triangle (the part that plugs into notebooks powersupply)
you can use 2circle (wire) whitch is normally used for radio or shaving-machines
you just have to cut it with the knife in the middle in order to enable it to stretch a little and fit
into the bottom 2 holes in your power supply. This solved my ground loop problems

your new power cord should look like this

your old was like this one:

the side which you plug into wall is probably different than show on the pictures ..

Ground loop eliminators are cheap. $15 here in the U.S. You could probably get a 3 prong ->2prong adapter for $2.

I'd recommend either of those solutions over performing surgery on your power cord.

Here is a ground loop isolator $16.99: http://www.radioshack.com/product.asp?catalog%5Fname=CTLG&product%5Fid=270-054 This exact unit solved my groundloop noise problems.

And here is a 3 prong ->2prong adapter for the power cord that might do the trick, too. $2.99 for two. This might not fit your particular style of plug, but should give you and idea of what to look for as well as a clue to the price. http://www.radioshack.com/product.asp?catalog%5Fname=CTLG&product%5Fid=61-2720

or you could just get a power extention cable, that does NOT have ground, and connect pc to that...

Get a 2 prong adapter witch converts a 3 prong to a 2 prong. It will ground it for you. they cost about 3 or for dollars
