and to further that, my supposed listeners are downloading this MP3 file but when I stop broadcasting they can no longer download it because it has been "reset" and they end up with nothing!!!! What is up? Help! I can tell that 1 out of 4 clients is listening (downloading) but they never get anything????

what r they doin' wrong - or me- my config is as follows:

sound card - "what you hear"
shoutcast mp3 - encoder =
C:Program FilesVirtualDJlame_enc.dll
bitrate 96
broadcast from my own pc - # of clients = 4

Are people able to "tune in" as I am mixing live?

It's not possible to download the stream, except if they run a stream ripper client side.

if the clients use videolan player it work ok http://www.videolan.org/ they have to goto open file (Ctrl+f) and type in the url given in virtual dj in the file tab it.
