Topic: major problems after install on new laptop

i was running vdj 5.2 with my numark stealth just fine but my hard drive died and i had to get a new laptop

got my new laptop - installed vdj 5.2 - downloaded and installed numark omni mapper from vdj website and it refuses to work
for some reason - vdj does not see or respond to the controller in anyway shape or form

so i installed vdj 6
it sees the mapper and it works great except for 1 major problem
when i use the job wheel in non-scratch mode - it speeds the song up so fast the track sounds like alvin and the chipmonks

ive had this problem before and this issue was the reason why i had to roll back to version 5.2

is there anyway i can correct this problem in version 6 or at least get 5.2 to see the mapper?

i see there are jog wheel settings i can adjust - its not perfect but i think i found a setting im ok with

mainly though im concerned as to why this thing refuses to work under 5.2?
 
nevermind - i think ive got the feel for it

false alarm - i was freaking out because ive got a gig tonight. works better under version 6 anyway
