Topic: Installation Error

This topic is old and might contain outdated or incorrect information.

This is more of an FYI. I was able to uninstall VDJ and then reinstall and the issue went away.

I installed VDJ on Windows 7 and all went well. I then added a new user account (to Windows) and attempted to run VDJ on that user account. It didn't work so I installed VDJ on that acct. Upon starting I got a msgbox stating "Installation Error" That's all, no ref number or further explaination.

VDJ is a great product and at a good price, as a long time software developer (20 years) I can really appreciate the work you have done and I thought you might want to know about this minor issue.

Peace,
James

This is most likely because the new user is missing the My Documents\VirtualDJ folder.

Either copy this across from your other account, or re-install the software again as the new user (This will create the VirtualDJ home folder.)

Thanks for the prompt response... and I did copy and past the entire "VirtualDJ" folder from the "Users" folder but that still didn't work. The uninstall/reinstall fixed it all. No worries.

However, again this isn't the real point I was trying to make; a msgbox that has so little info is not very helpful to me or your support staff.

every time i try to install vdj, it keeps ssaying that the system cannot find the path specified, someone please help, and thankyouif u give me some advice.
