Hi Guys newbie to VDJ here.
I am coverting to VDJ from PCDJ (crap never works fully) so I want to use my DAC 2, and from reading lots of posts on here, I understand that some versions are better than others with 'mapping' issues on the dac 2.
Simple question; is there a version of VDJ that has all the functions of the dac2 already installed without having to re-map controller? (Dont know how to do this)
have read V.6 doesn't support the dac 2 very well, so is there an older version that makes the dac2 do what it says on the tin? or on the buttons in this case?
Cant wait to get started with VDJ, a software that actually works, unlike PCDJ.
Please help guys all advice is welcome.
Goochie

Hi Goochie,
now it's possible to fully use DAC2 with VDJ 6.x. The problem WAS with outer jogwheel, but you can download the mapper file and use the full potential of DAC2. You don't have to remap anything by yourself. Hovewer if you won't be satistfied with default control there are many people that will gladly help you (including me) with mapping the DAC2 to your taste.
Hope it helps you to decide. If you prefer older version (from any specific reason) You can ask for it in the support area, but I recommend v 6 anyway.
Have a nice day

You can find the mapper here,
but I think You need to have a VDJ licence or wait until mapper will be included in some of next demo versions.

I used my DMC-1 w/ 4.x and 5.x up through 6.x
With 4 & 5, you were at the mercy of the map maker. 6, I was able to tweek to my liking.
Now, I am using the DAC-3 (picked up two very cheap) for my 2010 season.
While it won't work exactly like old RED, you have the ability to make it better and to your liking.
But you will still need the USB driver.
