Topic: Buying Virtual DJ 5 and compatibility with Windows 7

Is there any way to purchase version 5.0 instead of the new version?

I am planning to purchase a new HP Pavilion and install version 5.0 on it since I prefer this version over 6.0. I have been using my DJ company's laptop with 5.0 on it for years and rather stick with that. Also, I really like the MiXSTATiON REMiXED by MULLDiE (TiTANiUM v4.0) skin which is not compatible with 6.0.

Also, is anybody aware of any compatibility problems using 5.0 with Windows 7? Or using it in XP Mode in Windows 7?

I Can't answer the 1si question, but assuming you can. DO NOT run the software in XP mode. XP Mode is a virtual PC instance and is effectively a PC within a PC and will have limited resources with regards to memory etc.

Version 5 will work great natively.

Although we always recommend using the latest version, the answer for your first question is yes.
After your purchase you can just ask a teamer to make the version 5 available for you.
This is beecause as you may already know all virtualdj updates are free for registered users, from version 1.0 until now -),
(not the case for other dj software)
As for the compatibility with windows 7 i'll let someone who tried this combination to give you an answer.

5.2 works perfectly with windows 7
 
Mine also worked perfectly, but had resolution Issues as soon as I Installed the latest Nvidia Graphics drivers onto my pc. I have V Dj 5.2 with the V_mix(i think version 3) skin and for some reason it keeps wanting to make the program fullscreen and then does so Incorrectly. Any Help?
 
Please register your copy of VDJ. Official tested skins are only available from this site to registered users.
