that's the same Mixer I have, is perfect for the Virtual Vinyl for his 3 channels y very portable. Bad think is a little "low tech" (for me) and I connect it to a Console never direct to the Amplifier or Speakers.

i think i may see where you'r coming from by "low tech"....i know there are plenty of mixers far more advance than this one, but my wallet is slowwwwwww!!! lol.....so far i like it because it does work perfect with VDJ, nice standard fx, very portable, looks more pro than my last one and etc...lol....however i dont follow you; you dont connect the mixer to amp or speakers?? what console you speak of?

hey, i dont meen nothing wrong by saying "low tech" i use the same mixer. but i connect it to a Behringer XENYX 1204.
btw all your mixer effect work? my TAP botton is kind of slow...
i see you have VV, do you use your Numark Harware AC Power Cable??
if I connect the AC cable to the Numark Virtual Vinyl Sound Card AFTER the USB cable. The Box will still using the AC from the Laptop or it will start to use the AC from the AC cable ???
My Laptop is new and I know I can use the power from the USB hub, BUT, If I connect the AC Power Cable first and then the usb cable, the software some time freeze on the start and when I disconnect the USB cable un-freeze and of course the Warning Messenge of the SOUND CARD NOT CONNECT appears. I start to use the AC power Cable because when I use the "Preview" featuring and the 3 Channel output mixer set up, the live song jump a lil'bit when the "Preview" song start. So, I think it was because I wasn't using the AC Power cable.
If you need me to explain better my question tell me please,i know, my English is not the best.... THANKS!!!!

the xenyx 1204 looks like a nice mixer!! I've tested all the fx and the tap button, everything sounds pleasing. However i do notice that the TAP button flash gets of sync from the track. I usually re-TAP before i apply fx and it turns out good.
as for the ac cable for VV, Honestly i never used it!!(actually lost it) But it does sound logical to do...to keep from drawing more power from the laptop. I do have a similar problem with the "live song jump". Except the complete opposite. I run samples thru the 3rd channel and my the samples jump and not the live song. I may be doing something wrong or maybe a bug, i dont know for sure. im gonna have to mess with it some more

It doesn't matter if I connect the AC power cable to the Numark VV Interface, the 3 channel Preview song make: the live song jump a lil'bit, and get awful when I try to forward the preview song. I still use the third channel preview but i try to avoid the long song or fast forward it.
Maybe is the Laptop I don't know. I have a Windows Vista Home Premium 32bit, Dual-Core Mobile 2.0GHz, 3gb Ram, 256 Video Memory, Numark CUE 6.0.2. Numark recommend at less NVIDIA GeForce 9400M my Tochiba don't have it. I haven't try the new .3 version. Let see if the "Preview Bug" is gone for good.

Hey Everyone,
im kinda new to the whole turntables.
I recently received as a gift a technique 1200's set with a numark x9 mixer.
I was wondering how do i set up my macbook pro to work with my mixer?
the unmark x9 doesn't have an USB port on it.
is there anything that i need to buy?
I've purchase the serato timecode vinyl's.
any help is appreciated!
thanks

you will need somekind of 2 channel sound card to get sound out of VDJ onto the mixer. to use the timecode the sound card also need to have 2 line in so you can send the timecode message into VDJ.
So basicly you need a 4 mono(2 stereo) in 4 mono(2 stereo) out soundcard.some manufactures spec 2 mono as 2 in 2 out.
