I'm after a device to coil my speaker leads/XLR leads, is there such a thing? I could just use an old spool but was wondering if there was anything more pro. Makes, models, images and link would be fantastic.
I've googled but didn't come to a conclusion.

Hi Charlie,
Ive done quite a bit of pro-sound work for eventing company's all cords and cables are "French wound" in a under and over configuration.
Cables don't tangle and can be "thrown out" tangle free when setting up, if left coiled cancels stray impedances in audio use.
Easy on cables also winding cables around drums or even around the elbow can stress the cable causing premature failure.

Interesting, are there any devices to assist in this.
If not I'll have to make my own.

Hi Charlie.
Check out studiospares.com. In London
They have empty cable drums, mainly for stage snakes/multicores but you can use them for anything you like.
They have a great range of cables as well.
Cheers

May be a daft question but, what's this?
I tend to wrap all my cables round my elbow and fasten with velcro straps
