Topic: *.Wav File Information Import Problem

This topic is old and might contain outdated or incorrect information.

All the files play correctly.

After using Tag& Rename program to tag Info & covers on 40 wav. files in a folder non of the info was updated in VDJ only the covers?

I went to the folder in VDJ and highlighted all the files within that folder and reloaded tags the info still didn't update the files only covers.
Is there a problem with importing wav. file Info in VDJ?

The wav format do not support tagging of files like mp3 do. So it's important to give the files the correct name because this is all VDJ can use for searching them.

Hi jakovski

I was able to successfully tag all the wav files with covers and information with Tag&Rename.

Why only the covers where updated and not the information in VDJ?

Can you explain this to me??

I then updated all information and covers into iTunes with no problems.

AFAIK there are no Meta Tags within wav files. This is a bit suspect to me.... BTW, i would give them the correct filename so vdj is able to find them via the search function.

The WAV format does support tagging; however not much software seems capable of using it.
 
All Major audio software company's support, record and play Wav files including all loop set & plug-in from every major manufacturer Sony, Ableton, Steinberg Cubase, Amplitube, E-MU, Radio Station Jingle Software industry wide, ECT.

So to leave it out is a mistake if you want to keep the versatility factor/attraction advantage going in VDJ.
