Topic: Virtual DJ and Vestax VCI-300

I'm most likely purchasing Virtual DJ tonight for it's Video Capabilities, however Is there a "Virtual DJ" Map for the Vestax VCI-300? The trial version that I had did not have one, which kinda sucked cause I wanted to see how it worked with it before purchasing. I would like to just be able to select that controller instead of downloading copying and blah blah blah to get it to work.

Few More Questions

In my trial period whenever I started VDJ, it would say Direct X sound error, however it would always play the sound through my TV.

Where does most of your Laptops run PC useage while running VDJ? Mine was between 3 bars and half way, is that okay?

Is there a way to increase font size, when DJing is always better to have a bigger font then what I see it comes standard with?

the vci-300 is native mapped with the vdjpro version only. what u have to do is double check is the OS that you are running, cause the drivers are not compatible with all OS, could present bugs...

im mac user... i cant tell u about the other concerns.
 
Thanks, I already own the Vestax VCI-300 using it with Itch, NO Problemo. Thats good to know its native mapped, now just need a few more questions answered and I'll be a Pro Owner tonight.

If anyone else can chime in on my last few questions it would be greatly appreciated.
 
vci-300 is great with virtual-dj except 2 things.

1. The auxiliary input doesn't work with vdj as itch. You have to switch the button at the vci.

2. The microphone input same as above.

response is great, all buttons are lighted, and you have to use ASIO2.9 drivers.
 
Just use it with Itch..
 
My point of using it with VDJ is for Video use, is the Vestax not good with video?
 
what i heard, if you are mac user, vdj has issues... if you are pc user everything is alright.

what you mean switch the button? does this thing happen with vci-100?
 
The mic does not work properly with Itch, either. I can assure you, the VCI 300 and Virtual are a great combination.

There is a button at the back of vci-300 (vci-100 does not have) which you can set it to pc or pass-through.
If you set it to pass-through you can use the auxiliary input and microphone but not the software at the same time
 
thks, i just bought the vci-100 and will arrive in a couple of days.. and a was just concern if could happen with the vci-100...

any experience with the vci-100 and the vdj? is it goes good with vdj as the vci-300?

i really appreciate jako... i just cant wait for my equipment and just like i wrote in another topic...

i will take my chances and buy the pro version when my equipment arrives. I hope that my purchase could help to Dev team to release a mac demo version in order to taste the SW for who can not. I will make a semi-blind buy since i don't have pc and just have tasted the limited version and i couldn't run all the functionality of the SW like the pc users do, i wish no regret even the video bugs and other issues that the mac users are concern inside the forum...

which audio interface are u using? i was thinking in the echo audiofire 4... it manage jacks outputs for a active set up.
