This part of topic is old and might contain outdated or incorrect information

I'd like to know if anyone has been using the NS7 controllers from Numark? I'm in the process of a huge renovation at my club and have the opportunity to outfit a brand new DJ booth and this is one of the items I was considering. Any input would be great!

the ns7 is real good ..its supported natively by virtual dj ..all the feedbacks here on vdj has been nothing but awesome..

don't do it
yes the ns7 is asome but as in a club you could have different kind of dj's vinyl/cd/computer you would block if you rely on console only

second the ns7 isn't a contoller without problems its not plug and play and it has many problems also in itch
(at the moment i did not use mine in life performance because of the problems )read all the forums also in serato to see the problems

third if you want to spend mony think about dn3700 they cost less they have a display and they work with all kind of media exept vinyl but the feeling is the same as ns7

just consider
best regards dj-agua

There's a massive thread on this on the hardware forum. Well worth a read as the ns7 is not working perfectly for everyone

I,ve used mine since april, no issues at all in ITCH!!

Had mine for a couple months now... I have no issues with the ns7 & serato itch...

For a club though, I'd run a dual setup... Nothing beats 1200's & a mixer... Don't care wut anyone says, ns7 is the closest digital hardware to 1200's...

i got clitches and performance issue with my imac when i try to use any button or the plattern i see that sound is strukeling
the imac is an 17" intel dou core with 2gb ram and an 1tb hd maybe the 64mb grafik card is an issue but i dont know why
so i can say it is not free of problems

i also can confirm that NS7+VDJ has sound problems when the patterns (8" vinyls) are on.
If you switch it off, all the sound problem goes away.

hoping for an soon update...

I just got the NS7 with the 64bit Beta drivers and it works flawlessly with VDJ!!!
The purchase was well worth it!!!
Now if VDJ can get the NSFX to be compatible Ill be in HEAVEN!!!

If i was the only one Dj iing at the club, A NS7 would be cool..... If i had different djs, I wont buy the NS7 for the DJ booth. Ill buy standard technics 1200's and 2 Pioneer CDJ's.

The NS7 is a nice setup but not something i would have permanantly at a club.. Club standard means " It cant take abuse from Djs that are heavy handed " I dont think it can.. Its more for personal use..

The NS7 with itch doesnt give problems.. many Djs have computers that are outdated and thats why they freeze, usb drop outs etc.. I use scratch live & Itch and i never had any issues. The responce is faster than virtual dj.

I use VDJ 6.0.5 and Mac Mini 2,53 ghz/4GB, bootcamp w/Windows7 32-bit, and it runs perfect!!!(Fits under the NS7 in org. flight)
I,m only missing microphone.
CPU is 4%-12% when playing and 40%-55% when loading.
Don,t use the search wheel, you sometimes get glitches and don,t use 64-bit OS(the driver isn,t any good)

I use the original NS7 mapper with some modifications, is it possible to get the PLAY button to blink after you have load the song (the same as on the screen)????

You could try mapping the LED (LED_PLAY) to the following:

loaded ? cue_stop ? off : play ? on : blink

Works perfect!!Thank you

Does the Microphone now work with the NS7 and virtual DJ or is that still a problem that has to be resolved? I have the NS7 and when I try to use the microphone port on it no sound from my microphone comes through the NS7. Please let me know... Thanks in Advance
