everybody here writes about timcode this, timecode that... excuse my basic question...... whts a timecode?

timecode are vinyl or cds that stay in your decks and you use to play all your media on pc ect without changing records or cds.they are set up with your vdj software to work together for scratching mixing ect
 
so... are the sensitive plates of vci-100 or the jog-wheels of rmx time codes? since you scratch and mix with that right?
 
only the cds or vinyls are timecoded so that you can use your hardware for what you want.
