Topic: how do split a video file

This topic is old and might contain outdated or incorrect information.

I have a video file, its MKV format, about one hour long, it has about 15 music video's in it

I want to split the video's up, how do I do this? I dont want to loose quality, the original is good quality

I use Pinnacle Studio Ultimate 12. Then you can convert to whatever file you want.

I use cybelink PowerDirector 8 gives you the ability to split a single file into several files in DVD quality
