Please someone help me, I've been at this for two weeks straight now with no success.
I am new to the DJing world and all I want to do is just start out online by hosting my own server. However, Life hates me and wants me to suffer....It should work, plain and simple, but it doesn't. I've done/tried everything that I can think of and now I'm turning to you guys for an outside source of brainpower. Ok, here's my problems...
1. I start broadcasting and everything is fine. The config is fine. But, I type in my IP address and the port into my browser (Firefox) and it says it unable to load the page. -.- And people have tried connecting and they get nothing as well....
2. I get fed up with my own server and I think about trying to connect to my shoutcast DNAS (GUI) server. So I open it up, I go to "edit config" and edit all the settings to make it work properly but when I close it and try to save it I get this:
Cannot create the C:\Program Files (x84)\SHOUTcast\sc_serv.ini file.
Make sure that the path and file name are correct
So now as you can imagine, I'm tearing out my hair in frustration. I am stuck. Please someone be a life(and a hair)saver and help me. There is more but this is the jist of it. I'm on a wireless connection. (and yes I've already manually forwarded the ports) Thanks in advance.

Ok here's something strange (to me, probably because I'm a noob) But whenever I type in 127.0.0.1:8000 I can connect to my broadcast but only for a second...? Weird. Anyways, I really need help if anybody has any ideas to throw at me at I'll take 'em.
(I need to get this working by next week so sorry if I'm getting nervous)

Hey DJVinceDJ,
i'm not sure i understand you right, but anyhow!
There are two way to broadcast with VDJ
1) Broadcast from your own computer.
In case of that you are with your PC/Notebook the radio station and server at the same time ;-)
You broadcast stream goes out direct from you PC/NoteBook to the listeners you invite or give the link.
The link, you must give to the listeners, is located under the START or STOP Broadcast button.
But you can only see the link, when you have already pressed the Start Button and the time is running.
But the basic assumption is, you must enable Port 8000 on your broadcast router.
Only if this works fine is OK, the stream can run out to your friends.
2) Broadcast to a radio server
This is only needed, if you are a Radio DJ like our VDJ Radio DJ's and you stream to a real radio station.
So i'm sure, you are the man for No1.
You can also read the great manual, located in the VDJ Wiki http://www.virtualdj.com/wiki/index.html
Start at page 53 ;-)
See you
