Topic: help once again

This topic is old and might contain outdated or incorrect information.

firstly let me extend my apologies as i only seem to use this forum when looking for assistance, however i am hoping that someone can help.

I have the hercules rmx and have lost a significant degree of sound output on channels 1 & 2 in short its just about recognisable, channels 3 & 4 work fine however if I use them I have aan issue with cue and mix monitor, ie i cant hear the track ready to be mixed as it will only play the track that's on.

I am concerned what has happened to channels 1 and 2 ? any ideas

don't know if it will help but have you tried re installing drivers.

yeah tried that also tried a system restore and still no joy,

if some could tell me how to get cue/mix monitor working using channels 3 & 4 i would be eternally grateful!!

did this for another user, hope it helps...

Hoping that I won't bring an old topic from the dumpster but still eager to get a response, I keep wondering. I been surfing a load of topics without luck so far so I'm taking the bet on asking.

When using the setup as you describe Tayla, how is one possible to redirect the sound from the Hercules rmx soundcard through a setting called stereo mixer or in some cases wave out mix back into the computer. With that setting I would be possible to stream sound directly into software allowing audio options.

Something like a chatroom where I would play music, people can join and listen to it automaticly. To hand out extra information: I don't have a 4.1 soundcard in my laptop, which I why I bought the Hercules RMX, to provide me a second soundcard above a mixpanel to prelisten songs.

It seems that I am one of few asking this question since no one has any answer ready.

Then I will refrase my question:

How does an internet dj stream it's music online? Does that work through the broadcast function of virtual dj streamen to a server where people can log in to listen to the music through their own media player?
