Topic: Should I Join A DJ Pool? - Page: 3

This topic is old and might contain outdated or incorrect information.

@ psymon...no, you can cache the files pre-gig (remember to refresh cache authorisations), so you don't need an internet connection at the gig.

ok so i have been accepted to zip dj, 50$ a month! really more expensive than 8th wonder.

What is the legal thing to do for me as a canadian DJ. Someone said i canot be a 8th wonder customer...?

I recommend napster to go. $15 a month, unlimited downloads. And before anyone gets argumentative, as long as you are not selling the mixs (such as using the music as samples) it is completely LEGAL to play this music at any event. At least in the united states

Welcome to zipdj psymon! I had chosen other pools previously aswell but went back to zip dj for legality reasons, the selection of music is outstanding and you'll really enjoy the pool. The team there is amazing also, the head office is only 40 minutes away from me and I've worked with them personally in the past.

Feel free to PM me if you have any questions about the site.

BTW, what's your DJ Name on the site?

My name on Zip is Dj SimonSez as it is my Dj Name. Working on getting drops, probably order some soon ;)

The one thing you'll enjoy is in the right hand side bar there are 3 tabs: Main, Download Manager & Playlists. If you click on the playlist tab you can check out other DJs top 10 picks of the week. I find it helpful when downloading as there is alot of music added there on a weekly basis.

Click on DJ Ace if you want to check out my picks. Enjoy the site and welcome aboard!

8th wonder + Smashvidz, that's what I run with.

I use Netsearch and Napster. I connect my phone to an aux and play using Napster when In a pinch... but Netsearch comes through 99% of the time. WELL worth the membership

You join a Pool if you want to get Mashups, Instrumentals and acapellas. other than that, Music is practicaly given away free.
