Hello there! I'm totally new to digital Djing and have just downloaded Virtual DJ to trial it out. Can anyone tell me how to edit a title track (with previous bad spelling) from within Virtual DJ, and bring in the artist name if missing.

Thanks guys

While in the recordcase right click the track and choose rename.

You could also try renaming it from outwith VDJ.

EG...go into your music folder, select a track, right click it and click on rename.

Enter the track title as ARTIST NAME - TITLE NAME

Keep the spaces before and after the dash and then select another track, and do the same. go back into VDJ and into your library there...and the artist and full track name are there.

i also found that if you drag a song to the deck and let it analyse it that way, it will fully analyse the track so your artist, title, bpm and (full) length will be there. apparently there is an issue with WINDOWS MEDIA PLAYER 10 that stops VDJ from fully analysing songs and it can cut bits off of it (i've got a previous thread re this...)

Obviously the only problem with these methods is that if you have a big library...it'll take a shit lot of time to do this...

I'm sitting with 14gigs of tunes here...and i've got a gig tomorrow night!!!

The new version of the software is said to combat this...roll on 2.7!!
