Hey guys what is a far price for a weekly gig of Karaoke at a tavern..

I was ask by the owner how much I would charge him.. I'm currently there every weekend And have been for over 3yrs playing music for the crowed which is on average of 300+ every Fri and Sat..But he wants to start this on Thursday nights..

Any help is good.. Keep in mind I'm here in the states..

what part of the states are you in? is it closer to a major city or a mall or anything like that? all these are general factors. I know that in Cartersville, GA (the area I am in) you are lucky to get $150 a night for karaoke (usually $100). but in Kennesaw, Marietta, Atlanta...places like that, its nothing to get $150-$300 (depending on whats close by like malls etc. ). also, I know a lot of people that do karaoke that will charge more if the place does a 1099 tax form on them.

No 1099.. And the place is located in a major city in the North West.. Just to give you guys a heads up I'm getting $300 a night for the weekends..

I personally wouldn't touch it for less than $300 a night. I live in a bedroom, community about 80 miles outside of Los Angeles. Karaoke used to pay that much out here but not anymore. I have to get closer to LA to make more $$ so needless to say I don't do it as much as I used to. I'll stick to private parties and doing my regular mobile gigs unless my prices are met.

Have a friend call around to local KJs and see what they are charging. Different areas of the country are going to expect different prices/
 
I don't play karaoke and I usually run screaming from any building where it's being "performed" but a few clubs where I work have it during the week. The going rate is between $100-$125 per night for (4) hours.

Rudedoggy?.... $300 per night? No wonder California is bankrupt, you have all the money in your mattress.

I get $350 a night in long beach at a bar.their 4 nights and do video on sat.they make about $4k a night.I get close to $200 in tips alone.tip jar a must.I took one from fatbuger.you know the skinny tip and fat tip.the laught when the see it.
