Alot of people on here will tell you not to use them but from my own experiance i have never had a problem with them and have always used them due to never having enough usbs on a laptop.

I have been using a Trust 4 Port USB2 Powered Hub HU-5440 for around 2 years and never had a problem with it.


 

Rob is correct. There is absolutely nothing wrong with using a hub as long as it has it's own power source. Some periphery requires a direct connection though such as my Rane Serato SL3. But everything else runs flawlessly.

I run my CDJ-400s from it as well as 3 external hard drives, my Akai APC40 for Ableton, USB wireless mouse & external keyboard, and one extra port is left for whatever.

These units are stackable so you can add another one to it for more ports if needed!
