Topic: denon dnhs 5500 and mac problem

i have two dnhs 5500 denon players , and i have it connected to virtual dj , but it does not show me display on the players and i can not scratch because it does not turn the 7'' platter , i just upgraded to a macbook pro ,, help please ,,,,

yeah i did , but the new version does not have the midi controllers, or at least i dont know how to set it up ,
 
External controllers changed in version 6 ...

Go here and download the VirtualDJ v6 manual ... it will help you out the Config interface is the same .... what you are looking for is the Mappers tab.

But, if you followed the instructions outline in the other link I gave you then you should be fine and the controllers should come up correctly.
In v6, if the controllers are correctly setup then they are automatically recognized and activated ... unlike the past where you had to select them and activate them.
 
it works , but still wont show me display or turn the jog wheel to scratch
 
I am having the same problem, Ive noticed that using a usb (it's a powered one,) also tends to give me more problems.

I also was wondering how to use 2x DN5500s and their corresponding Soundcards, Since they come up as the same unit how can I select the second one?
 
well now with the denon 1400 version upgrade works a little better ,,,,,but i still cant use them individually ,,,
 
y not just use one 5500 and switch between decks via the layer function? works much better..and then u can do everything one handed with one less piece of gear to drag around...
 
i really dont see the point on having one turn table , ,, i have called apple , denon , and virtual dj and still the same problem
 
I also have two 5500s and am having the same problem.
