well hello im a new owner of a mk2 dj controller and well this is my first post.
first of all i would like to say i love it and well i was really mad when i tried to register my product and i couldnt because it said the key was already registered. next i tried to launch VDJ console edition but it said it couldnt because of protection error 16 i was wondering if anybody had any idea how to fix this.

Hi and welcome to the forum.
If your software has previously been registered then you will need to get another unit from your retailer as that one may have been used already. You could also try submitting a support ticket on this site. I can't remember where as I'm replying on my mobile.
The protection error may be something to do with having NOD anti-virus installed?
I'm sure some of the other users will be along to help you soon.

kradcliffe is right, sounds as though it has been sold before at the store or did you buy it as a "bargain" if so you want to take it back to that person as they would have known it cannot be registered twice, for support and clarification on this use the tab at top right of this page.

This happens frequently.
As was said, the only option he has is to return it for a new one.
If it turns out that it is used, he is entitled to the original software only or has the option to use the used serial to upgrade to pro.

I dunno if it is the same for the MK2, but I bought my Total Control brand new, and when I tried to register the serial, it told me the same. I had to contact support to straighten it out.
