Topic: Procedure For PlayList Edits

This topic is old and might contain outdated or incorrect information.

Saving playlist edits is a procedural inconvenience.
I figured out a work around to minimize similar multiple PlayList problem.

Procedure for PlayList file name edits

1. Decide on the PlayList before you do any edits.
2. Highlight that PlayList, right click choose rename.
3. Once full name is highlighted, right click to copy
4. Paste to notepad.
5. Complete the file name edits in the sidelist window.
6. Highlight all songs and drag the edited PlayList to Automix (Right Panel)
7. Click on + icon choose save at the bottom, past original PlayList name from notepad.
8. Click Yes to overwright.

If you have missing link songs (yellow) make sure their not songs you haven't played by draging them to a deck first.

1. Search on the browser for the file with yellow, filling in the name in the search box.
2. When you find it, click and drag it to the Automix window (Right Panel) just below the file you're replacing.
3. Hightlight the yellow file you're replacing and press delete, to remove it.
4. Do the above procedure one at a time till all are done.
5. Follow steps 7. & 8. above.

That should do it.

Ouch . . . or should we say Uggggghhh. Thanks for the info.

You can actually cut out the Paste to Notepad steps - Once you copy the name, it should remain on your 'clipboard'. For even faster steps, use keyboard shortcuts of CTRL+C to 'copy' and CTRL+V to paste, instead of the right clicking. Of course, if you do any other copying/pasting in the middle of the proces, you'll loose it.

+1 on every wishlisht request to fix "saving playlsists"

yah

You're right about Ctrl C&V,
I use it all the time but i've seen alot of people using the right click method alot so I thought it would be easier.

The reason for the notepad is because in the heat of editing out your files you tend to cut and paste, so this would be a good way to insure not loosing the original PlayList file name.
