Topic: Tracks playing too fast

Im new too VDJ and have a problem that hopefully is just me being thick...

I am using 2 dns 3700's with timecode and vista.

When I load and play the track it runs at nearly double the speed...The bpm is being showen as correct but the track is running fast...

It depends on setting of your sound card.
Put the Sample Rate on 44.1 KHz instead of 96 KHz.
 
Yeah I have it at 44 but still the same problem

And why are you using the 3700 with Timecodes ... use them as a controller in MIDI mode ... you will have way more access and control of the software.
 
Right...

Ive decided to get my pc hooked up and try and hook up through midi..Everything seems fine apart from I get the odd spike in sound while playing the tracks..

The cpu usage guage up in the top left is very near the limit and I was wondering if this has anything to do with it?

Im running on xp now with 3ghz and 1 gig of ram...
 
And what other applications do you have running in the background ? Anti-virus? Wire-less adapter? etc.
 
i gig of ram. you should max out your ram ALWAYS on any gig machine. 1 gig is barely minimal specs. shit vista alone needs a gig ish to work right.
 
Ive purchased a new machine with quadcore processor and 8 gig of ram....

Hopefully that should sort the problem....




p.s the wife's going to kill me....
 
what for?
did you change your system only because I had problems with speed of tracks?
 
I decided to purchase a new pc because I hooked my 3700's through midi mode and my current setup couldnt handle it....

My cpu was maxed out as soon as I turned on the 2nd platter....


I was well over due an upgrade and this just settles it for me...
