Topic: Ideal Video Mixing Configuration Question...

This topic is old and might contain outdated or incorrect information.

Whats up Everybody, I was just curious as to how everyone mixes videos with their mac books. With my PC I would disable the crossfader in VDJ and click on the preview windows to mix the videos and I controlled the audio with my external mixer. However, the mac version of VDJ does not mix the videos when you click on the preview windows. I am looking for a good setup where I can still cue the audio through my external mixer and mix the videos in vdj. Thanks for your help everyone.

M Audio makes a great little midi controller called Xsession Pro... I use this to activate the auto crossfade, the manual crossfade, clip bank, level controls and deck controls... I use ICDX mainly for deck controls, but when i travel, and i dont want to take a lot of gear with me, the Xsession Pro works great as a full controller as well...

Another bonus is that it is relatively inexpensive... I paid 80.00 US for mine...

Thanks for the response Ptown, with that controller how do you cue up your next track?
