I had a website for years, up until recently. I was paying no less than a $100.00 a year for it. The more I wanted to add the more it cost, unless I paid some unlimited fee or something. I found that MySpace was just as good or better for getting the message accross. A little less impressive of course. I found it more important to have a URL. Something easy for everyone to remember. Mine is www.roadhousesound.com . Which will take you to another utility I use, that is the greatest thing I have discovered. I'm sure there is plenty of companys out there that offer similar services. From there I have a link to my MySpace profile www.myspace.com/roadhousesound01 . The URL costs me $10.00 a year. I like to let people view the pics. I have of all my events and MySpace is great for that. I just wish I had pics of the past events that I did in the beginning.
 
yo fatboy...what is the equal to $ what you charge thats in euros right? and is that per hour?
 
It's GBP. I think 1 GBP is roughly 1.7 USB at the moment, so £230 would be about $390.

A word of warning for those who have websited made entirely with Flash:

Using flash will hurt you on search engine results. Your page won't be ranked very high because Google and other search engines can't index Flash-content. When the indexing bot arrives to your homepage, the only thing is "sees" is blank.

Mine works ok. It has some html embedded and google returns it as no 1 when i search my tags :)

Well, of course Google will return your site as #1 on the results if you search for tags that are unique for your site, such as "GaryBr" for example.

The point was that when using tags used by many - such as "DJ", "house music" or whatever, Flash-content won't be indexed as well as HTML-content.
