Purchase the home edition. This will give you unlimited time to play around, and the difference between home and pro is not very much (when it comes to testing purposes)

what do you need to investigate?

Home edition users also get a discount to Pro upgrade.

You are only allowed to use the trial for a limited amount of time. It is a trial after all, and 20 days is enough for most people to see if the software meets their requirements.
I thought the difference between Home and Pro was huge?!

There used to be a comparison between home and pro, but I'm afraid I can't find it. Anyway, pro version offers many more features, customization options, and the ability to download many tools and toys from the site that you can't get with home edition ;)

sorry.. did I let that little secret out?
If you just want to play around making mixes at home on your desktop, then the Home Edition is more then adequate.. Actually for the price it blows everything else out of the water..
thats why i really cant understand the crack users.. most of them are just bedroom DJ's anyways and actually dont NEED the added functionality of "PRO"
When do you need "Pro"
- you need to download the 'add-ons' (if your at this point, you've probably already decided this is the software for you to mix with)
-you need to telecast your video mixes (if your just mixing on your desktop/laptop for yourself, you actually dont need a full screen window)
-You need to attach a turntable or two (Now THIS I could see someone wanting to try and make sure it works before purchasing the full meal deal)
-you need external equipment attached like a controller or mixer (again, at this point your entering the "pro" area and probably should know enough about the software to make a comittement)

I've just realised this isn't even a feature request so I'll move it to General Discussion...

exactly! so if your still unsure (and need more time) the investment of the home edition is technically even a better value!
