Topic: Sound Glitch with maya 44 usb

This topic is old and might contain outdated or incorrect information.

So I've put up with this small problem for ages, but I since I've got a bit of free time I figured I'd try and get it sorted.

So it's something to do with a sound buffer I think.

Sometimes when I press play I get very short loud noise before the actual song begins. I think it's something like it's a few milliseconds of song that were played whilst I was cueing the song.

Any suggestions?

I feel that this has been raised before, but cant' remember the solution!

Thanks in advance

Nobody else with this problem then?

Or nobody with answers?

I've started to get this with timecodes, along with other problems, lol. For me it's when the program first detects the timecode. It's like a millisecond of "white noise"

I don't know what it is Andy, I've messed around with everything over the past few weeks and tried 3 different soundcards in the process.

Just a quick update on this (just to see what I've written I searched the forum for my own username)...

I've tracked it down to the "enhanced algorithm" scratch setting in the vdj config ""performances" section. Turn that on and I get the glitch, turn it back off and all is as it should be (but timestretching doesn't sound as good).

After that I'm stuck on if it's a software, hardware, driver or computer tweaking issue!!!
