Topic: Time Code/Best Midi Controller Inquiry

This topic is old and might contain outdated or incorrect information.

Is there any new time coded product for VDJ version 6.0? I see Virtual Vinyl shows Numark w/ 5.0, are there any plans to update the Virtual Vinyl time coded product? Also what is the best all-in-one Midi controller on the market now to use w/ Virtual DJ 6.01? I do use the sampler section a lot as well on VDJ. Thanks, all answers will be a big help.

The new VDJ does seem to have a better MIDI mapper so any coded vinyl system should work but don't take my word for it. And about your controller question, I used to have two Station DaScratch controllers. They were amazing since they are very compact and they operate all by touch. If you do a lot of sampling you can map out the controllers to your liking which you could load different samples on various touch surfaces. Hopefully this helps you in your decision.

VirtualDJ can use any combination of products to work with. You can use any sound card with any controller and also timecodes of course.

As BEST all in one... sorry, for me all ALL-IN-ONEs don't are best, maybe virtualvinyl, maybe SSL, but I found better soundcard interfaces with a lot better sound than VirtualVinyl box or SSL box. So for me ALL-IN-ONES have something weak.

I love that all could work with VirtualDJ Pro and whatever I want, and not force to one or 2 options only. If you want to work with VirtualDJ, My best advice for you is to buy an Ni Audio 4 soundcard and use 2 Serato Vinyls. You are going to spend less and have better sound.

Or better, go to an Echo AudioFire 4 that sound like a CDJ-1000MK3. This one is about $299 and the other in $250 usd, both can be found in USA.
