hi i posted on here a few months back as i was having problems with VDJ demo and lots of background noise. never fixed the problem with the BCD3000, thought this was at fault and it started falling apart anyway so i sent it back and upgraded to a total control, which came with CUE 5.2.1.
because the total control doesnt have a soundcard ive bought an additional PCI C-media soundcard so i can split my outputs. however i now have a problem with the sound quality again, i have this rumbling/vibrating noise which is there from the start of use, anytime you use a knob or slide a fader you get this electrical humming noise.
ive tried swopping the soundcards around primary and secondary wise, no joy, rumbling through on board soundcard and PCI.
ive also tried fiddling around with ASIO4ALL, and while i can overcome the problem in Deckadance with this, no joy with CUE.
someone suggested upgrading my ram which ive done to 2mb, but no difference.
i got on to the guys who supplied the total control and they said i need a numark dj i/o, which is another 90 quid. as im on a tight budget i just wondered if there was any other way around this without splashing out yet more dosh?

Don't think it's the card. You might try a ground loop isolator. Also you want to make sure all audio and USB cables are away from the power cables, this can cause interference.

hi thanks for your reply, can you tell me what type id need? the only ones i can find have rca inputs and outputs, which im not sure id need??
my set up is the total control powered off its own usb socket, monitor speakers running off front output of on board soundcard, headphones running off of pci second soundcard. do i need to find a loop isolator that has 3.5mm jack inputs and outputs and hook it up between the soundcard ports and the headphone/monitor speaker jacks?

ok i started up cue with the NTC connected, then disconnected it, it now seems that everytime i move the crossfader or a knob with the mouse i get the same buzzing humming sound.
can anyone tell me if i can get round this without having to shell out loads so i can put cue/vdj into safe mode please?

I am using cue le with total control. I am having a problem with what seems like skipping. the song will hesitate and skip and loading another song is sometimes tough. It makes me look like i don't know what i'm doing and is so frustrating that i can't stop it. Please help! i'm ready to go back to cd's and lug all those cases around again!

I too have the rumble when using any of the knobs on my Total control wioth cue LE, i was digging around some other forums on the issue and the other software Virtual DJ had similar issues and they have a checkbox called "safe mode" on one of the setup screens which needed to be turned off, i wonder if they are related somehow?
