Love Daslight
daslight.com
Hint: American DJ brought the rights to the daslight software and scaled it down. Daslight is great and has not crashed on me at all.

I'm using Freestyler as well with the Enttec DMX USB Pro dongle. The USB Pro is a little more expensive but it is its own processor instead of using the computer to process as with the Open DMX USB.
The other essential bits of software to use with Freestyler is the Audiobox app and Midi Yoke. Audiobox takes a Line level audio source and creates MIDI control messages to the bass beat which is passed onto MIDI Yoke, which then triggers your sequences in Freestyler. Your lights will always go to the beat without you having to do anything. It works so very well.

The generation of MIDI data from an audio stream is something I might find useful. Anyone have a link to the Patchbox Audiobox app? Their website appears to have expired so I'm guessing the project is dead. Any alternatives out there?
