Forum: VirtualDJ Skins

Topic: Skins, in general.

This topic is old and might contain outdated or incorrect information.

Hello,

I have a really generic question regarding skins for Virtual DJ.

Are there any pros/cons of going with these created skins made by people, rather then the basic default skin?

I guess what I'm really asking is, is having a custom skin more of a beneficial thing for djing (appears easier to mix, etc) or more of just an aesthetics (the "cool" designs, etc) type of deal?

Thanks

IT is a personal taste issue. For example I use Mixlab v3. I like the way it is laid out. All the important information is presented in a format that I can easily see. It is customizable, to some extent, for my personal tastes. If you are using time codes Listen2's skins are laid out with that in mind. Most time code users do not need as much information on the skin, they need to see the wave forms, and how their manipulation of the vinyls, are effected.

So, beneficial, to most of us yes. Does the default skin work? Yes.

Hello,

to get a license you must first buy VirtualDJ: http://www.virtualdj.com/buy/index.html

You will then get a serial number you will need to register in your profile and then all skins and plugins will be available for download.
