the software you use doesn't matter much as its going to record only. One thing I would check first is the volume control in Windows (make sure the "line in" volume is set to its highest). Then take a look at the mixer, make sure that from the soundcard's line out they go into your mixer's line in. Now check your booth out on your mixer, if its low, the software will record what is sent so try raising the booth volume a bit to see if there is any difference.

mix master soul
ive been recording mixes just using virtual dj, no plug-ins, no nothin and i was saving the files to my documents folder. everything was workin fine until one day, it just stopped workin. i didnt do anything different, i clicked "start recording" and nothing happened, when i try to record to a burn-cd ready file, it works fine, but if i just want to record to a single file, nothin happens....any advice??
