so i tried the djio with its own power and it seemed to work better
i had one very minor issue..which kind of related to the issue i was having
the gig was a prom, so through out dinner i had the thing on auto mix
when it came time to mix i loaded the track on the other side and i came to touch the platter
and the song did what it does but didnt stop
it kinda forwards itself to the middle of the song. noting major, but this use to happen at parties with the song
thats playing when i touch the platter of the other deck that is not playing live, but this time it was the deck that was not playing live
im going to try the sound card latency setting on 1024 instead of 512 to see if it works better.
thanks for everyones help

Interesting ... I have never experienced anything like what you describe. But then again, I only have 1 iCDX.
