Greetings,
I could use some help please. I found an annoyance with video cue stuttering. I use cue-marks to jump between spots in the videos during my mash-up sets. Normally (Ver. 5.2.1) I'll jump back to say que-mark one, and the video will start playing immediatly with sound sync. I can hit que-mark 1 over and over, and stutter the video... which looks pretty cool.
Now I am finding that some vids at some que-marks have a delay in playing the video for one beat. Then after one beat it starts to have normal motion and is synced with the audio. This is a new occurance in V6.0.1. The last VDJ 5.2.1 had no issue like this.
I've tried options like hardware acceleration on/off and ratio settings, but no fix. I'm using a HP DV-9500 which up till now has had no problems other than the momentary freeze when loading a new video.
This is a dual core and I've also noticed some heavier CPU utilization. Does VDJ use the 2 cores? And any idea on what's up with this momentary video freeze?

Further experimentation is showing the video freezes for about 1 beat after the cue mark, I can roll back and forth the vid with my jog wheel and the video is static. If I rewind anywhere before the cue mark, it un-freezes the video and it will stutter normally, and have motion where before it was a static image. What the heck?

Re-setting the cue-mark no fix.

Problem clears only when I back cue to the point before the cue-mark... then the video starts motion again. Rolling forward to any part in the video past the other 2 cue marks and then back to the "no motion" area does not fix problem. Only when I roll back before the cue mark will it release the video to normal motion play. Very weird indeed.

Errrrrrrpppp.... more info. This has nothing to do with the cue marks. I can jump to anywhere during video playback and I will notice the video freeze. I can stop on the spot and go back and forth with the jog with no motion to the video. If I roll the vid backwards to when the video starts motion again, then the video will play normal with motion where it once was static video. Hmmmmm......
Thanks,

vdj uses two cores
i had an isue with something named processor throtle for the intel 2 core procs
you need xp sp 3 and some reg edit
you'll find the info if you google it or look in the m-audio knowledge database
