Looking to do an event where they will have a searto sound card there....... (im using virtual vinyl sound card) Will it be plug and play? or we'll i have to install drivers etc? Will VDJ recognize the card and then I'll just configure it in sound setup?

I think you need to install the serato asio drivers by installing the serato software first.

Download the software into your laptop but dont open it. Wait till you have the serato soundcard hooked up to laptop. Then install it

There are no drivers specifically for the sl1 on the website.....Went to downloads ect...

Download the latest version of Serato Scratch Live which is 1.9, the drivers are in there...
