Topic: What is VDJ v6 Doing to my PC?

This topic is old and might contain outdated or incorrect information.

Loaded v6 yesterday. Nice and thank you.

On previous versions my cpu meter typically stayed down around 0-2% and then would jump to 50% when loading a new track.

Now it's constantly running at about 30% and peaks about 80% when loading tracks.

What gives?

What skin are you using? Is it maximized ? And what is the skin resolution compared to your monitor resolution?

Sorry too jump in like this but are saying you a skin maximized or the skin resolution compared to your monitors resolution will push your cpu usage up (yes i know, if you dont know how to play with the toys then you shouldnt use the toys, hehe)?
thanks for your time
STAY FRESH & KEEP IT FUNKY!!

the skin "size " and the screen resolution have to be the same .....

control panel/display/settings .......

use it by the "best if used by" date and do long division!

technically , i don't think it can be fresh AND funky ...... i mean if it's funky , it'll have

mold growin' on it , so obviously , it's not fresh .... see what i mean ?

Could be an obvious comment mate but the higher the resolution setting for your skin the more load on the graphics card and CPU. Is the skin you have selected to use a higher resolution than the one you were using under vdj5. ? Have also noticed that if you use the scratch selection on the skin the load on the cpu goes up when displaying the extra wave graphics.

Holy crap- that was the problem. Once I optomized the skin to the screen resolution my cpu totally settled down. WHEW!

THANK YOU!
