Topic: 6.0 video decoder and ac3

There seems to be a problem with the new 6.0 video decoder.
In .vob files with 5.1 ac3 audio, the audio is not recognized. VDJ just shows a line and there is no audio output but the video is playing.
However .vob with 2 channel ac3 is working correctly.
With version 5.2.1 also the 5.1 ac3 is playing.
If I change in the codec section of VDJ that .vob files should be decoded with Windows media player, the same .vob with 5.1 ac3 is playing. If I switch back to the internal video decoder of VDJ I no longer have audio.
This test shows that the problem is related to VDJ's video decoder. I never had this problem with VDJ 5.2.1.
Bug???

Right click on the video in the browser and select "File Infos"

Can you tell us the data written in File properties under "Filepath".
 
I have the same problem it's an mpeg2 file with ac3 audio . VDJ 6.0 seems to be unable to decode the sound portion. I may have many files like this. I have no way to detect them.
Any help would be appreciated.

Motherboard Asus Maximus Formula II
Quad Core Xeon X3230
Soundcard : MAudio Delta 1010LT
Graphic Card : Nvidia Quadro Fx 1700
8.00Go Ram
Windows Vista 64 Bit
C drive: 500Gb
D drive: 1500Gb

Info for 6 channel ac3 (audio part cannot be decoded)

FilePath=G:\video\something.vob
FileSize=188346369
File will be read with Video decoder.
VIDEO: mpeg2video, 720x576
AUDIO: ac3, 437 kbps, 48000 Hz, multi-chan



Info for 2 channel ac3 (audio is decoded and playing)

FilePath=G:\video\heaven.vob
FileSize=209500160
File will be read with Video decoder.
VIDEO: mpeg2video, 720x576
AUDIO: ac3, 437 kbps, 48000 Hz, stereo
 
Go to config-> codec tab,
in the list you see vob video decoder
double click, then change decoder to windows media video decoder
this will work, but the speed of loading a .vob file is much slower.
 
My problem it's the same and after install a codec package for windows media I don't obtain any other result. The same error continues.
 
Having the same problem - switching codec to Windows Media Player does not work - says "impossible to open file". What changed from version 5.2 to 6.0 with this???
