Hello Everyone,
This is my first post on this forum, and I am posting here as i dont know who else to ask. Please pardon my ignorance with these matters, i have only recently become involved in computer mixing.
I recently downloaded DSS DJ 5.6, which I have found to be an excellent mixing program. I know this forum isn't particulary relevent to this program, but as i understand it i can post about any DJ software on this forum, please correct me if i'm wrong. Anyway i think my question is pretty universal to all DJ software.
I have been using the porgram for a number of weeks now and am thinkning of maybe arranging a small set at a relatives club but (and please dont laugh) i'm not sure how to arrange it so that I hear both songs (regardless of the crossfader position) in my headphones and only the sound i want the audience to hear (that being the song the crossfader is set too) in the speakers. I not really sure how it all works. I have been just using headphones at the moment and not being able to hear both song if the crosfader is completely to one side. Obviously, to be able to do a succesfull set i need to hear the song i am mixing into the current one in my headphones so I know that they match, i just need to know how to set this up.
Thanks for reading my post, and any help would be greatly appreciated.

Yeah, you can ask ... but you might have better luck getting an answer at their website ... http://www.myxoft.com/support.html
And maybe from their FAQ page - http://www.myxoft.com/faq.html#a27

Thank you for the advice, but i'm afraid i've tried both courses of action. The FAQ's sections doesn't have any answers that I fully understand, and i have yet to hear back from their 'support team'. I have a feeling that they are no longer operational, a lot like their forums.
Is there anyone who can answer my query here?

They haven't been active on that site for a long time plus they haven't had an update available since 2007! I'd say, they're probably finished.

go here http://www.myxoft.com/tutorial/tutorial.html it walks you through it step by step...if that doesn't work you might consider buying VDJ as it is by far the best program available anyway
