Dam no one knows how?

are you kidding me? theres a mapped plugin in the download section. where do you "search"?

Ok noo not kidding you I know and have the mapper? and I know where it goes? my problem is configuering the DDM4000 itself?
I know its not as simple as dropping the XML file in the directory and turning on the mixing and Vola?? or am I just crazy??

if i remember correctly you have to turn one each channel, fader, etc to use for midi. like i said i only used it for a night and it sucked so i sent mine back. all i remember doing was installing the xml file opening cue and turning the mixer on and setting each channel to midi and bamm it worked. look in the manual for instructions on how to activate midi on the mixer.

what sucked about the DDM4000? i have one on layaway and am curious to your thoughts before i pay any money on it!

Well I gave up on trying to use it as a midi controlled device!! :( I am just not that good at programing!! :( so I just use my Herc MK II as a sound card or my Maya 44 if I can get that to work!!!!....lol

But over all I LOVE mine..lots of features to play with and cost WAY less then the over prices DJM 800 IMO...lol though if the DJM cost what the DDM cost I would have got that to keep all my gear Pioneer... TO ME its just about name when you got something that does the same thing out there!!!

I borrowed a DDM from a friend for a few weeks. I downloaded the mapper, I'm not sure if it really helped since I couldnt find any documentation on it.

You will need to midi map maybe-- like 10 or 15 knobs(10 minutes).

I used it with a M-Audio Connectiv sound card. I was able to run time codes and mix video just fine.

Set Channels 1 and 2 for midi to control the volume / EQ in VDJ.
Set the Fader to Midi on the DDM mixer to control VDJ.
Set VDJ output for 1-2 Main / 3-4 Headphones. Just like a HDJC
Plug the audio cables from the sound card to Channels 3 and 4.
Use Channel 3 for the Main output(analog mode, no midi), Use CH 4 for headphones.
Click the PFL on the mixer to only monitor Ch4. Use the auto headphone cue in VDJ.

You can program some of the EQ kill buttons next to the fader to be used as play, cue, pause, etc.

The only downside was the audio is still getting faded over in VDJ. Most people(DJ's) wont notice any delay. It did work alot better than my HDCJ and RMX. I needed something more realtime that would mix the sound in the mixer, so I bought a Korg Zero4. Other than that its a good mixer, cool effects, smooth fader, great price if you already have a good sound card.

thanks,
DJ Kavika
