Topic: A/V midi mixer for video DJ's (VJ)

This topic is old and might contain outdated or incorrect information.

Well, there seems to be an influx of midi cd turntables presently on the market. As an audio DJ the configuration of 2 midi turntables with a regular mixer will be not so teadious as I have personally accomplished this, however when video comes into the "picture" this additional variable makes things a bit more complexed.
I'm in the process of acquiring 2 midi CD Pro players, between the Pioneer CDJ-400 and the Denon DN-S 3700 which seems to be very competent and dependable but for full audio/video crossfade like a Hercules, which controller is highly recommended for this setup?

There are lots of threads on the forum about MIDI mixers.

I personally recommend the Ecler EVO 5.

Other options include but are not limited to the Korg Zero 4 & 8 and the A&H Zone:3D/4D.
