Ive notice that the finished product of a recorded mix doesnt sound as crisp, clear, and loud as when its playing originally, how do I fix this problem or improve the quality of recorded mixes?

I don't use this feature but since no one has answered you I'll take a stab at it. Check the config option (Recording) and be sure the bitrate is set to the proper setting, it should be equal to the bitrate of your original mix.
There's no point it setting it higher than your original, you will NOT gain quality by doing so.
It appears VDJ defaults to 192 kbit/s. You can go up or down again depending on your original file bitrate.
If I got this wrong there will be a flood of people telling me so :^)

I always record as a wave file, the few times I record as a mp3 I have it set to 320kbs. As far as the volume, it might be the recording level in your sound card. Try bumping that up just a little, really a matter of trial and error for me. If you go to high it's going to be distorted. I'd try with just a couple of songs first to get it where you want it.

If your source files are not wav/flac or 320kbs and you "record" at those settings I think all you have done is waste drive space. A 128 kbs file recoded to higher bitrate will result in a larger file with no increase in sound quality.

true, but these days drive space is less of an issue - better safe than sorry, i would record in wave format - even using a separate source for recording e.g. an other computer.

when recording a mix ,will it be on a c.d. as one long track or can track markers be inserted ? also wnen the c.d. is playing is there a clicking sound,or some other noise when tracks change ? I have had this problem on other types of c.d. recorders.

There's a number of ways to make the cd multiple tracks. For me, it's easiest to use VDJ's "scissors" to cut from one track to the next. There's no sound like the clicking you mentioned when it changes track numbers.
